A case of sublingual-plunging ranula containing sialoliths with ossification

Salivary gland diseases are diverse, including neoplastic, cystic and inflammatory diseases, often difficult to diagnose. Ranula is a mucous retention cyst encountered clinically. Sialolithiasis usually caused by the submandibular gland; reports identifying sublingual as cause low at 0 6.4%. To date, there has only been one case report of combination ranula sialolith. We sublingual-plunging containing sialoliths with ossification. The patient was 17-year-old female referred our hospital painful swelling in right region. clinical findings included mild region, sialolith-like hard substance palpable floor mouth. Contrast-enhanced computed tomography contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging showed cyst-like lesion from space space, three calcifications were found cyst. diagnosis right-sided multiple sialoliths, underwent excision, excision salivarylithotomy under general anesthesia. resected specimen stones encapsulated contiguous gland.
